บมจ.ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลีสซิ่ง ผนึกหุ้นส่วนธุรกิจ GMT ในเครือ ITOCHU และPREMIUM

บมจ. ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลีสซิ่ง (ECL) ประกาศความร่วมมือเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางธุรกิจกับ GMT บริษัทในเครือ ITOCHU Corporation จากประเทศญี่ปุ่น และ พรีเมียม คอร์ปอเรชั่น (PREMIUM) ผนึกองค์ความรู้และความเชี่ยวชาญการดำเนินธุรกิจและฐานทุนที่แข็งแกร่ง เสริมศักยภาพรุกธุรกิจให้สินเชื่อเช่าซื้อยานยนต์ในประเทศไทย เดินเกมขยายพอร์ตสินเชื่อตั้งเป้า 5 ปี พอร์ตสินเชื่อรวม 20,000 ล้านบาท พร้อมเดินหน้าปรับตัวย่อซื้อขายหลักทรัพย์จาก ECL เป็น EAST สะท้อนแนวทางการดำเนินงานที่มุ่งสร้างการเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืน

นายยาสุฮิโตะ คาวะอุจิโนะ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ปฏิบัติการ กลุ่มธุรกิจการเงินและประกัน บริษัทอิโตชู คอร์ปอเรชั่น จำกัด (ITOCHU Corporation) เปิดเผยว่า กลุ่มอิโตชู มีความยินดีเป็นอย่างยิ่งที่ได้ร่วมเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางธุรกิจกับ บมจ.ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลีสซิ่ง ภายหลังบริษัท จีอาร์ แมนเนจเมนท์ (ไทยแลนด์) หรือ GMT ซึ่งเป็นบริษัทในเครืออิโตชู คอร์ปอเรชั่น เข้าลงทุนซื้อหุ้นเพิ่มทุนของ บมจ.ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลีสซิ่งรวม 417.8 ล้านหุ้น ที่ราคาหุ้นละ 1.30 บาท รวมเป็นมูลค่ากว่า 543.14 ล้านบาท เพื่อขยายเครือข่ายธุรกิจในการดำเนินธุรกิจการเงินและสินเชื่อในประเทศไทย เนื่องจากมองเห็นศักยภาพการเติบโตของบริษัทและมีแนวทางการดำเนินงานสอดคล้องร่วมกัน โดยการลงทุนครั้งนี้ อิโตชู จะใช้ความรู้ ความเชี่ยวชาญ และประสบการณ์ในธุรกิจการเงินและประกันภัยภายในประเทศไทยให้เกิดประโยชน์ พร้อมทั้งเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือกับเครือข่ายบริษัทในเครือของบริษัทฯ เพื่อสนับสนุนการขยายขอบเขตธุรกิจของ บมจ.ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลีสซิ่งให้มีศักยภาพและขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันในธุรกิจสินเชื่อยานยนต์มือสองในประเทศไทยมากยิ่งขึ้น

นายโยอิจิ  ชิบะตะ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายปฏิบัติการ PREMIUM Group กล่าวว่า กลุ่มพรีเมียม คอร์ปอเรชั่น เป็นบริษัทที่ให้บริการด้านการเงินและรับประกันรถยนต์แบบครบวงจร มีความสัมพันธ์ที่ดีกับ บมจ.ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลิสซิ่ง ซึ่งเป็นหุ้นส่วนทางธุรกิจภายหลังได้เข้าร่วมเป็นพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจ โดยจากการเข้ามาลงทุนในบริษัทตั้งแต่ปี 2559 ที่ผ่านมา จากการนำจุดแข็งการให้บริการด้านยานยนต์แบบครบวงจร ตั้งแต่ ธุรกิจไฟแนนซ์ (Auto Credit) ธุรกิจรับประกันความเสียหายของรถยนต์ (Warranty Service) และธุรกิจบริการด้านยานยนต์ (Automobility Service) ที่มีประสบการณ์มายาวนาน ตลอดจนมีเครือข่ายพันธมิตรกับสถาบันการเงินชั้นนำของประเทศญี่ปุ่น

อย่าง Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation เพื่อสนับสนุนการเข้าถึงแหล่งเงินทุนดอกเบี้ยต่ำต่อยอดสู่การขยายธุรกิจให้การดำเนินงานของ ECL เติบโตอย่างแข็งแกร่ง

ด้วยเหตุนี้ พอร์ตสินเชื่อรวมจึงขยายตัวจาก 1,826.25 ล้านบาทในปี 2558 เพิ่มเป็น 4,924.42 ล้านบาท (ณ 30 กันยายน 2567) ดังนั้น กลุ่มพรีเมียม จึงสนใจเข้าลงทุนซื้อหุ้นเพิ่มทุนในจำนวน 137.8 ล้านหุ้น คิดเป็นจำนวน 179.14 ล้านบาท เพื่อรักษาสัดส่วนของผู้ถือหุ้นใหญ่ และการลงทุนเพิ่มเติมครั้งนี้จะช่วยสนับสนุนการพัฒนาระบบปฏิบัติการที่มีประสิทธิภาพ เพิ่มความแม่นยำและความรวดเร็วในการคัดกรองสินเชื่อ และทำให้การดำเนินงานมีประสิทธิภาพยิ่งขึ้น เพื่อสนับสนุนการดำเนินธุรกิจและขยายรายได้จากธุรกิจสินเชื่อรถยนต์ของบมจ. ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลิสซิ่ง ต่อไป

นายดนุชา วีระพงษ์ ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหาร บมจ. ตะวันออกพาณิชย์ลิสซิ่ง หรือ ECL กล่าวว่า บริษัทฯ พร้อมร่วมมือกับหุ้นส่วนทางธุรกิจเพื่อรุกขยายธุรกิจสินเชื่อยานยนต์มือสองในประเทศไทย ด้วยขีดความสามารถการแข่งขันในธุรกิจที่เพิ่มขึ้น สามารถขยายพอร์ตสินเชื่อตอบสนองความต้องการลูกค้าได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ภายใต้การบริหารจัดการควบคุมคุณภาพพอร์ตสินเชื่อที่ดี โดยวางเป้าหมาย 3 ปีข้างหน้า พอร์ตสินเชื่อโดยรวมเพิ่มเป็น 10,000 ล้านบาท และเพิ่มเป็น 20,000 ล้านบาทภายใน 5 ปีข้างหน้า จากแผนขยายพอร์ตสินเชื่อรถยนต์มือสองและธุรกิจ Car 4 Cash

ทั้งนี้ บริษัทฯร่วมมือกับพันธมิตรทั้ง 2 ฝ่าย จะสามารถทำให้บริษัทเติบโตได้อย่างยั่งยืน ฐานเงินทุนที่เพิ่มขึ้นจะถูกนำไปพัฒนาประสิทธิภาพในการปล่อยสินเชื่อ นอกจากนี้ยังมีแผนเปลี่ยนชื่อย่อซื้อขายหลักทรัพย์ฯจาก ECL เป็น EAST ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงการเริ่มต้นและความร่วมมือกับหุ้นส่วนทางธุรกิจในครั้งนี้ ที่ต้องการขับเคลื่อนการเติบโตของบริษัทฯ อย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน เพื่อสร้างผลตอบแทนที่ดีให้แก่ผู้ถือหุ้นทุกท่าน

Eastern Commercial Leasing PCL (ECL) has announced a strategic partnership with GMT, a subsidiary of Japan's ITOCHU Corporation, and Premium Corporation (PREMIUM). This collaboration combines their expertise, operational knowledge, and strong capital base to strengthen their auto hire purchase and leasing business in Thailand. With a five-year target of expanding the total loan portfolio to 20 billion baht, the Company is also in the process of changing its trading symbol from ECL to EAST, underscoring its commitment to sustainable growth.

Mr. Yasuhito Kawauchino, Chief Operating Officer of the Financial & Insurance Business Group at ITOCHU Corporation, expressed ITOCHU Group’s enthusiasm about partnering with Eastern Commercial Leasing PCL. This follows the investment by GR Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (GMT), an ITOCHU subsidiary, in 417.8 million newly issued shares of Eastern Commercial Leasing at 1.30 baht per share, totaling 543.14 million baht. The investment was aimed at expanding their financial and loan business network in Thailand, driven by the Company’s growth potential and shared operational strategies. Through this investment, ITOCHU would leverage its knowledge, expertise, and experience in Thailand’s financial and insurance sectors, while enhancing collaboration with its affiliate network to support Eastern Commercial Leasing PCL’s expansion and improve its competitiveness in Thailand’s used vehicle financing market.

Mr. Yoichi Shibata, Group CEO and COO of PREMIUM Group, stated that Premium Group Corporation, which offered comprehensive financial and auto warranty services, had maintained a strong relationship with Eastern Commercial Leasing PCL as a business partner following their strategic alliance. Since its initial investment in the Company in 2016, Premium had leveraged its strengths in providing a wide range of automotive services, including Auto Credit, Warranty Service, and Automobility Service. This was supported by their extensive experience and a network of partnerships with leading Japanese financial institutions such as Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, to support access to low-interest funding, further driving business expansion and enabling ECL's operations to grow robustly.

As a result, the total loan portfolio has grown from 1,826.25 million baht in 2015 to 4,924.42 million baht as of September 30, 2024. To maintain its position as a major shareholder, Premium Group has invested in 137.8 million shares through a Rights Offering, valued at 179.14 million baht. This additional investment will support the development of efficient operating systems, enhance the accuracy and speed of credit screening, and improve overall operational efficiency, further driving the growth of Eastern Commercial Leasing PCL's auto loan business and its revenue expansion.

Mr. Danucha Veerapong, CEO of Eastern Commercial Leasing PCL (ECL), stated that the Company was ready to collaborate with business partners to expand its used vehicle financing business in Thailand. With enhanced competitive capabilities, the Company could efficiently expand its loan portfolio to meet customer demands while maintaining good portfolio quality management. The Company had set targets to increase its total loan portfolio to 10,000 million baht within three years and 20,000 million baht within five years, through the expansion of used car loans and the Car 4 Cash business.

The collaboration with both partners will enable sustainable company growth, with the increased capital base being used to improve lending efficiency. Additionally, the company has planned to change its trading symbol from ECL to EAST, reflecting this new beginning and business partnership that aimes to drive stable and sustainable growth while delivering good returns to all shareholders.
